Topography Studies
Contour models examining grading and the placement of bridges, paths and enclosures.
Preliminary grading, hydrology and assemblage exercises for the Field House studio.
Developed in Dragana Zoric’s Spring 2023 studio, the studies precede the Prospect Wetland Center proposal. Contour drawings and layered physical models describe ridges, slopes and depressions before architectural elements are inserted.

Contour modeling
Contour lines are translated into stacked layers to construct a three-dimensional terrain. Layer spacing describes changes in gradient, and the exposed edges make the fabrication method visible.
Overhead and eye-level views compare the terrain’s plan organization with its sectional depth.
Bridges, paths and enclosures
White inserts test three conditions: a bridge spanning a depression, an enclosure set into a slope, and a path elevated above the ground. Their material contrast identifies the contact between built elements and terrain.
These exercises study how circulation can cross or occupy sloping ground, alongside the studio’s grading and hydrology work.
Topographic assemblage exercises from Dragana Zoric’s Field House studio, Pratt Institute, Spring 2023. These exploratory landforms are distinct from the final Prospect Park site proposal.
